Down the river

Meet at the Picanoc camping ground on lac Cayamant road just left after the Picanoc bridge before Gracefield on 105. .Bring your own canoe or kayak and paddle up the Picanoc river for 9 km to the covered bridge (Cousineau bridge) and then come back ( calm waters ). Many beautiful spots to stop and swim or picnic. Nature is beautiful. Start early to see the animals. Get a friend member who has a boat. Bring a picnic, drinks, water and toilet paper... For those who want to sleep at nearby motel : Bon Chez Nous $75 for 2beds and kitchenette, 819-463-1212 at 264 route 105,Gracefield. Or if you want to do camping at camping Pickanock 59 ch.du Lac Cayamant, 819-463-3092 Gary or Janet.garyorjanet@yahoo.ca. 21$ per tent (2 people). Cost for parking only to lower canoe is $6. for the day. Easy access here and facilities available. We meet at 6:30 a.m.

The Picanoc is just before Gracefield on the 105.about 95 km...there are a few motels nearby if you wish or camping at the park.
